Private Visa

  • A private visa may allow a single or double/multiple entry to the Russian Federation.

A private visa is issued for the citizens of Japan, other states or non-stateless persons for a short stay in the Russian Federation as a guest based on an invitation of the General Administration for Migration Issues of the Russian MIA (before - FMS Russia) that was issued on a request of a Russian citizen, a foreigner having a Russian residence permit or a legal entity.

Such visa can also be issued for a citizen of Japan or other state on a written request/application of a Russian citizen who is his close relative in case this foreign citizen goes to Russia together with the applicant.
